Banks are ready for the year 2000. Banks and credit unions have updated their programs. The banks such as citibank and B of A are ready.

Hospitals are ready for the year 2000. Big hospitals have been in the news because they are ready for Y2K.

Big business is ready for Y2K. 80% of big business prepared for the year 2000 early and have finished testing.

Government agencies such as EDD and City Water and Power are not ready. The DMV sent 800 horseless carriage license renewals out to car owners. Also, there was a sewage spill in L.A. County. Foreign nations are not ready either.

The year 2000 is a hype. Most private entities have been Y2K ready.
